Volunteer

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS

Would you like to help cats in need?

The cats at Pawprints Cat Rescue need you to help them. Unfortunately the cats aren’t very good at cleaning up after themselves or managing their finances so they need YOU to help.

We are looking for volunteers to help out at the rescue itself so if you have a few hours to spare each week, don’t mind getting your hands dirty and want to get out and meet new people (and cats!) joining us at Pawprints will be PURRFECT for you!

As a volunteer helping at the rescue you need to have a few qualities:

  • LOVE cats (this one is kinda mandatory!)
  • Not mind scrubbing a few trays (yes you’re going to have to scoop up some poop!) it’s not all kitty cuddling.
  • Not afraid of hard work.
  • Use your initiative
  • Common sense

If being hands on with the cats isn’t for you we have lots of other jobs we need doing such as…

Kitty Taxi Drivers – We can have a number of vet trips taking place during the week. We need flexible Monday – Friday people who can help drop off or pick up our cats from the vets usually in Baildon, Pudsey, Halifax or Allerton. We have a group where we post our weekly trips where you can confirm if you can help with any in place for the week.

Gardening – we are in need of green fingers to help with the garden at the rescue, even if you can just do a couple of hours now and again or even just mow the grass then it will be a huge help.

DIY – we have lots of odd jobs that need doing around the rescue including maintenance on the cats pens and runs. So if you are skilled in DIY please do get in touch.

Fundraising – at Pawprints we do lots of events, tombola, car boots and general bucket shaking to help raise much needed funds to save stray and unwanted cats. Our vet bills are incredibly expensive so every penny counts! If you would like to help out at any of our events please get in touch we would love to meet you.

If any of these roles sound like you then please fill in the form below and someone will be in touch shortly.

Unfortunately we are unable to take on volunteers who are under the age of 18.
Cat care shifts tend to be between 10.30am and 1.00pm. Kitty vet taxi drivers can be any time of day and tend to be between our base and Baildon, Pudsey or Allerton
